Oldie but a Goodie

This audio is a few years old, but it's a true classic. In 2005, as you may or may not remember, Tedy Bruschi had a stroke, and many feared his career was over. It was not. After six weeks on the physically unable to perform list, he was medically cleared to play football and activated. It was an impressive feat.

However, this was a dark time in sports news. You see, there was no Brett Favre drama to cover, and the Cowboys weren't 1-7. They were desperate for compelling subject matter to discuss. The result? Unfortunately, in Bruschi's first game back (a Sunday matchup with the Bills), the announcers took it and ran with it. They absolutely would not shut the hell up about how great Tedy Bruschi was for coming back from a stroke. It was 3 hours of knob-slobbing.

The Bills were a slightly more interesting team back then, but they still weren't very good. Luckily, WGR 550 in Buffalo has a great sense of humor about it. They come up with funny skits, and this week, their target would be easy. I wish I could tell you where I first heard this, but I have no idea.

Anyway, enough blabbering. I present you with Tedy Bruschi's return to the NFL, as told by WGR-550 in Buffalo. Enjoy!
